Who is Ryan Alu?
Ryan Alu, a volleyball player out of Pennsylvania, competed at a Division I level from the years 2017-2020 at his undergraduate institution. Upon graduating with degrees in computer science, math, and cyber security, Ryan went on to obtain his master's degree in computer science at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire (2021-2023).
It was at Dartmouth where Ryan founded his company, Idealism Towers, and initiated Project Save Collegiate Athletes. His motivation to start the company and write his book stemmed from his experience volunteering with the Dartmouth Women's Varsity Volleyball Team. Noticing that the players were experiencing the same hardships, challenges, and mental struggles as Ryan during his time as a student-athlete, he felt compelled to offer advice.
With his interest in philosophy and experience as a collegiate athlete, combined with the lessons learned from playing professionally for the National Volleyball Association (2021-2023), Ryan crafted the ultimate guide to surviving collegiate athletics with his book, Project Save Collegiate Athletes.
Ryan's goal is to cure the ailing minds of college athletes and alleviate the nationwide student-athlete mental health epidemic.
